The Way to Business
The idea behind ‘The way to Business’ programme is to enable Ukrainian women to become financially independent and build their own path to success through entrepreneurship, thereby increasing their economic, social and well-being opportunities.The project is implemented by MFC (a social financial network promoting inclusivity, equality and responsible service delivery. The MFC brings together more than 100 organisations in 36 countries in Europe and Central Asia) with the support of JP Morgan Chase & Co (a leading financial firm based in the United States of America (USA) and operating worldwide).
Social context
According to UNHCR, since the beginning of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, Poland has provided shelter to more than 3 million Ukrainians displaced by the war in Ukraine, the vast majority of whom are women with children and elderly people under care. There are now more than 1.5 million displaced persons permanently residing in the country.
